Santino Marella Works Recent IMPACT TV Taping

While former WWE announcers Tom Hannifan and Matt Rehwoldt now comprise IMPACT Wrestling's commentary team, they were joined by a former WWE Superstar at the recent set of tapings from Old Forester's Paristown Hall in Louisville, Kentucky over the weekend. 

Anthony Carelli, aka Santino Marella, was on commentary for the main event of Saturday's Sacrifice IMPACT Plus special between IMPACT World Champion Moose and Heath. Carelli was then on commentary on Sunday for the Before The IMPACT taping, PWInsider noted. 

The match taped for the show was Karl Anderson vs. Deaner, according to IMPACT Asylum. Anderson won the match and then demanded a rematch for the IMPACT World Tag Team Championship, which The Good Brothers lost to Violent By Design on Saturday.

Marella has worked for IMPACT Wrestling before, making an appearance at Bound For Glory 2017 before appearing on a 2018 edition of IMPACT. Carelli also previously co-hosted IMPACT's 'Behind The Lights' Twitch show.  

Marella's WWE tag team partner Vladimir Kozlov is also connected to IMPACT Wrestling and he started working for the promotion as a Russian-language commentator in April of 2021.
