Scarlett Bordeaux & Killer Kross Thought They'd Join AEW Before WWE Offer

Scarlett and Kross debuted in NXT in early 2020

Scarlett Bordeaux has revealed she and Killer Kross believed they would be joining All Elite Wrestling before a conversation with Triple H convinced them to sign with WWE NXT.

Scarlett and Kross were both released by WWE in November after being signed in November 2019 and February 2020, respectively. The two had previously worked for IMPACT Wrestling and Scarlett has now noted that the duo had conversations with multiple promotions following their exit from IMPACT.

The real-life couple believed that AEW would be the right destination for them but opted to sign with NXT after a chat with Triple H.

During a virtual signing with ‘Signed By Superstars’, she said: "There were a few companies we were talking to right before WWE came along. We thought AEW was gonna be the one. But after a talk with Hunter, we’re like: 'Nope. WWE’s the place.'"

When asked if she would consider a return to NXT, Scarlett said it was something she would be open to after six months of being a free agent, as she wants to fulfil the bookings she has already organised.

"I would return to NXT after six months because I’m having way too much fun right now and we have a lot of cool things happening and there’s so many fun, cool things happening that if I was told tomorrow, I have to go back and I had to cancel everything, I’d be like, ‘Eh, I wanna do all the things I have planned’ because I’m excited about it."
