IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore has thanked Matt Striker for his time with the promotion.

Taking to social media, D'Amore wrote: "Now that @IMPACTWRESTLING #HardToKlll & this weeks #IMPACTonAXSTV episode are done I'd like to take a moment and thank @AsleepOnThBeach for his time with us. I asked Matt to join us at the beginning of the pandemic. It's always great to work with a friend of 20+ years. #ThankYou."

Striker previously served as IMPACT's play-by-play commentator from January 2021 until his departure ahead of the January 8 Hard To Kill pay-per-view. The 47-year-old was reportedly let go as IMPACT management were unhappy with his performance.

Striker has since been replaced by former WWE commentator Tom Hannifan as the play-by-play voice of IMPACT Wrestling. Striker's partner D'Lo Brown has also remained at the announce table as the colour commentator.

Prior to his run with IMPACT, Striker had served as the commentator in WWE, AAA, New Japan Pro-Wrestling and Lucha Underground, among other promotions.
