Scotty 2 Hotty: WWE's Grayson Waller Is A Star

Since the NXT rebrand in September of 2021, Grayson Waller has been one of the featured performers on the Tuesday night show. The former Matty Wahlberg was a part of the winning Team 2.0 at WarGames in December and his rise has only continued, with him having feuded with AJ Styles on both Monday Night Raw and NXT in recent weeks. 

Beyond the current team behind NXT, former WWE Performance Center Coach Scotty 2 Hotty - aka Scott Garland - sees big things in Waller's future and the Too Cool man thinks the Australian is a star. 

Speaking during a virtual signing with K&S Wrestlefest about Von Wagner and Waller, Scotty 2 Hotty noted: "[Von] Wagner's good, but I was gonna say Grayson Waller [as an NXT 2.0 talent to be on the lookout for]. I don't know if you guys are hearing of him now but man, the kid's on fire and he's just, to me, he's a star. He's gonna be huge. He gets it, you know? 

"And Von Wagner too. He was one of my - I have certain people who I call my guys and my girls and he was one of my guys I felt like. His dad was actually my first match... they [The Beverly Brothers] were my first match in the WWF back in '91 so then when Cal, Von Wagner came into my class, that was kind of like a - it was a cool thing. Kind of circle of life type of thing I guess, right?"

Garland was granted his release from WWE in late 2021 and he recently revealed to Cultaholic Wrestling's Tom Campbell why he decided to quit the promotion.
