SCU Split Up After AEW: Dynamite Defeat

They were defeated by The Young Bucks

SCU are no longer a tag team, after losing to the Young Bucks in an AEW World Tag Team Championship match on Wednesday's Dynamite.

Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian challenged the Bucks for the titles on this week's show but were unsuccessful in their pursuit of the gold. Daniels, who had been busted open earlier in the match, was pinned by Matt Jackson after a double V-Trigger allowed the champions to retain their Titles.

SCU had agreed to a stipulation towards the tail end of last year that said they would disband as a team the next time they lost a tag match. The duo had since gone undefeated in tag-team action, including winning a four-way match last week to become the number one contenders to The Young Buck's Championships.

Daniels and Kazarian shared an emotional embrace in the ring at the end of their match, signifying the end of their time together.

The duo began tagging in TNA in 2011 under the name 'Bad Influence' and were later known as 'The Addiction'. Kazarian and Daniels would later add Scorpio Sky to their group and be known as 'SoCal Uncensored'.
