Seth Rollins Responds To Will Ospreay Challenge

Seth Rollins vs. Will Ospreay has been hinted at

A match between Seth Rollins and Will Ospreay has been teased by both competitors.

The tease comes after Will Ospreay told Chris Van Vliet that he would love to face Seth Rollins if any Forbidden Door match was possible. Ospreay then replied to a snippet of his comments, mentioning that The O2 in London, England is only 20 minutes from his house.

Rollins decided to channel his inner Cockney following Ospreay's tweet, simply responding with, "Bruv."

Ospreay then asked"What you saying champ."

Despite the Twitter exchange, Rollins vs. Ospreay is considered an unlikely match due to WWE's reluctance to book talent from outside of the company on their shows. There have been rare exceptions in recent years, such as Alex Shelley in NXT, Chris Jericho appearing on Broken Skull Sessions, and attempts to form a working relationship with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but WWE being aloof from the rest of pro wrestling remains the norm.

Ospreay and Rollins did previously have Twitter beef back in 2019 but they settled their differences shortly after.

While he might not face Rollins in a Forbidden Door match, Will Ospreay will be in action at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door on Sunday, June 25 in Toronto, Canada. Ospreay will challenge Kenny Omega for the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship in a rematch from Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Ospreay has already kicked off the build to the match by insulting Canada.
