Shayna Baszler Says She & Ronda Rousey Are The Only 'Real Team' In The WWE Women's Tag Team Division

Shayna Baszler on the WWE women's tag team division

The criticism of the WWE women's tag team division continues from Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler.

Rousey urged WWE to improve the 'dismally shallow' women's division last week and now Baszler has said that she and the UFC Hall of Famer are the only "real team" in the women's tag division.

"I don't know, it's hard to say. Here's the thing, we said this when people were complaining that we got tossed in that WrestleMania match. We're the only real team around. You love Liv and Raquel together, sure, but they were kind of just thrown together. You love these other two people, Sonya and Chelsea, but they kind of just happened to make their friendship work because they're the way they are. But me and Ronda have been a team literally since 2013, and we've been friends, and it's gonna be hard to get past that," Baszler told TMZ Sports.

"I think if you look at me and Ronda separately, when one of us walks out, you know that win or lose, someone's getting messed up. So I think now put us together, and then on top of that, we have a history and a chemistry and a relationship, you're gonna be hard-pressed to find anyone in the company with that depth of a relationship that we have. But I say bring it on. We want to defend these [titles] every week. So let's go, see who gets thrown at us."

Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler have been WWE Women's Tag Team Champions since winning the vacant belts in a Fatal 4-Way on the May 29 edition of Monday Night Raw. The champions defeated Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter in non-title action on Raw this week.
