Sheamus Says Goodye To WWE, Changes Social Media Name

Reports emerged over the last week that multi-time WWE World Champion Sheamus would be exiting WWE, with him believed to be one of several stars who were offered restructured WWE deals which involved a pay cut. It was reported that Sheamus turned down this approach ahead of his expiring contract and would ultimately be leaving the promotion. 

The first official word from Sheamus emerged yesterday, as he took to social media to bid farewell to WWE. In a post on X, Sheamus issued the following;

The translation reads “Goodbye my WWE friends”. Sheamus has also now changed his X username and bio, seemingly going by the name S. Farrelly. His cover photo also says “The Artful”, perhaps hinting at a new nickname. It was learned this week that Sheamus had interest in potentially joining AEW once his WWE deal expires.
