Shelton Benjamin's First Post-WWE Booking Revealed

Shelton Benjamin heading to Clive

Shelton Benjamin is returning to professional wrestling.

The 48-year-old has taken his first booking since his WWE release and he will be part of an autograph signing and meet and greet at Wrestling REVOLVER Ready or Not on March 16 in Clive, Iowa. When Benjamin plans to make his in-ring return is unknown.

Benjamin had been in his second run with WWE, having returned to the company in 2017, but he was released in September 2023 as part of major post-UFC merger cuts that saw the likes of Nic Nemeth, Mustafa Ali, Emma, Riddick Moss, and Rick Boogs also lose their jobs.

Benjamin's non-compete clause expired in December 2023. Nic Nemeth has since popped up in New Japan Pro-Wrestlng and he will challenge for the IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship at New Beginning in Sapporo. Matt Riddle, meanwhile, has returned to MLW and he will make his NJPW debut at Battle in the Valley.

In addition to the former Intercontinental Champion being on the show, Wrestling REVOLVER have booked Matt Cardona, Masha Slamovich, Jake Crist, The Rascalz, Alex Shelley, and Cobra Kai's Paul Walter Hauser for Ready or Not. Wrestling REVOLVER owner Sami Callihan will also be on the show. The promotion's events air on TrillerTV+.
