Skittles Were Huge Fans Of Jim Ross' 'FRUITY, DELICIOUS, DELICIOUS, OH MY GOD THEY'RE FRUITY' Ad Reads

Bah gawd they're fruity.

Former WWE announcer Jim Ross was the man tasked with providing the ad reads for Skittles at a time where they were one of the promotion's main sponsors.

And the man in the black hat did so with the same enthusiasm he would call a major title change or heel turn. Asked about the unique way in which he tried to sell the fruity (delicious!) candy during a recent edition of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross said:

"It was an ad-lib. The Skittles people loved it. I can't tell you how many boxes of Skittles I got over my career. I could have supplied snacks for a children's home. It was ad-lib. It was our weekly sponsor and you wanted to give a little personality, so that's what I did. Sometimes those ad-libs work, sometimes they don't".

The 72-year-old signed a new one-year contract with AEW last month. He will primarily call the action at pay-per-views. Ross believes that, realistically, this could be his last year as an announcer.

The WWE Hall of Famer has had various health issues of late and recently underwent surgery for cancer on his right hip.
