Could The Rock find his way into a thrash metal movie?

Answering fan questions in Metal Hammer, Kerry King of Slayer revealed he would like Dwayne Johnson to play him if a biopic of his life is ever produced.

"The only one that loosely fits the description is Vin Diesel. If you go down that road you might also say The Rock, but I'm not nearly that giant! That would be awesome, though - I'll say The Rock, because I like a lot of the stuff he's in," Kerry King said.

Kerry King is the co-lead guitarist and songwriter for Slayer, one of the 'Big Four' thrash metal bands along with Metallica, Megadeath, and Anthrax. Slayer were together from 1981 to 2019, although the band reunited this year for a handful of festivals.

The Rock is set to star in The Smashing Machine, a biopic on the life of MMA legend Mark Kerr that completed filming earlier this year.

Dwayne Johnson has been heavily involved with WWE this year, although he reportedly wasn't planned for WrestleMania 41 as of last week.
