Slim Jim Resumes WWE Sponsorship Following Vince McMahon Resignation
Slim Jim were back for the Royal Rumble 2024 PLE
Jan 28, 2024
Following the emergence of a lawsuit alleging Vince McMahon of sexual assault of a former WWE employee, Slim Jim revoked their partnership temporarily with WWE ahead of the Royal Rumble 2024 PLE. The company explained that due to their commitment to brand values they were pausing things after learning of the details involved in the McMahon lawsuit. After this news, Vince McMahon resigned and stepped down from his role as Executive Chairman from TKO & WWE, and shortly following this Slim Jim was back.
In a statement made to POST Wrestling, Slim Jim explained why they were set to continue their sponsorship deal with WWE for the Rumble PLE.
“After the departure of Vince McMahon, and discussions with WWE TKO senior leadership, Slim Jim has decided to re-enter the Royal Rumble”.
Fans will of course seen Slim Jim sponsorship across the event, most notably during the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship fatal four way match between Roman Reigns, LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles, with all the LEDs on the apron and barricade displaying the Slim Jim logo and glaring orange and yellow colour scheme.
