Sol Ruca Planned For Character Change Ahead Of WWE Main Roster Call-Up

Sol Ruca will seemingly have a slightly different gimmick when she moves to the WWE main roster on a full-time basis.

WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that Sol Ruca is planned for a "slight character refresh" ahead of moving to either Raw or SmackDown. This will include a new entrance theme for the former NXT North American Women's Champion.

When exactly Ruca will move to the main roster is unknown, but Fightful noted she was tentatively planned to be in Chicago around Elimination Chamber. Internal supporters of Ruca also believe her stint in NXT has run its course and she will be called up to the main roster soon.

It was reported in December that Ruca was planned to move to the main roster along with other NXT talents who impressed at the December 13 episode of Saturday Night's Main Event in Oba Femi and Joe Hendry. Oba Femi has since moved to the main roster, while Hendry made several appearances on SmackDown, but he has since won the NXT Championship.

Sol Ruca was featured in the 2026 women's Royal Rumble match and reached the final three before she was eliminated by Tiffany Stratton after Ruca went for the Sol Snatcher on the apron. Fans and even Sol Ruca questioned the booking of the spot, but it was pushed through by those booking the match.
