With several signatures being made via the WWE ID initiative, there has also been a big batch of new WWE Performance Center recruits announced by the company, and with it has come some rather notable names.

As confirmed by PWInsider, the son of former boxing legend and multi-time undisputed champion Evander Holyfield, Elijah Holyfield, has been signed to WWE’s developmental brand of NXT, and will be heading over to the WWE Performance Center to begin his training. His family are not strangers to WWE, as his father once appeared on a special episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event to have a boxing match with Matt Hardy, per the orders of MVP in the iconic Madison Square Garden.

Elijah Holyfield was a member of the recent SummerSlam tryouts earlier this year, and he is now headed to WWE. Along with Holyfield, a notable name revealed to be signing with WWE is yet another member of the Anoa’i family - Lance Anoa’i, who has been wrestling since all the way back in 2010, appearing in promotions such as MLW and Pro Wrestling NOAH. He has sporadically competed as enhancement talent in WWE over the years.
