Less than 24 hours after Bound For Glory and there has been a changing of the guard in TNA Wrestling, with a major title change occurring on the October 27 IMPACT tapings in Detroit, Michigan.

In the second taping session of the evening - to air November 7 - X-Division Champion Mike Bailey put the belt on the line against The System’s Moose, with Moose capturing the gold after crushing ‘Speedball’ with a spear. Post-match, Trent Seven came out to console Bailey but nailed him with a low blow instead.

The win sees Moose add the X-Division Title to his two runs as IMPACT/TNA World Champion, his one run as IMPACT Grand Champion, and his run as the unrecognised TNA World Champion in 2020.

For Bailey, this loss sees their third run as X-Division Champion come to an end, with ‘Speedball’ only regaining the title on September 13 at Victory Road by ending Zachary Wentz’s quick 14-day run with the strap.

‘Speedball’ successfully defended the title against El Hijo del Vikingo just 24 hours earlier at Bound For Glory 2024, and this loss has some speculating on Bailey’s future in TNA, with their contract believed to be expiring at the end of 2024.
