TNA inducted the latest members to their Hall of Fame at Bound For Glory 2024, with Bob Ryder and Rhino honoured at the event. However, it seems that initial plans for the class of 2024 included AJ Styles.

Styles was Mr. TNA for over a decade before departing in 2014, landing in New Japan & ROH and eventually WWE. Now due to the working relationship between TNA and WWE, it seemed the door was open for Styles to take his place in the TNA Hall of Fame, but a report from Fightful Select suggests WWE turned down the idea at this moment in time.

The door is not closed for Styles entering TNA’s HOF, with TNA sources believing that Styles' current injury status or indeed his status as an active wrestler in WWE prevented him from being honoured at this moment in time. Styles did appear on the Bound For Glory broadcast, as did fellow WWE employee and former TNA alum Abyss, with both men sending video messages honouring the late Bob Ryder as part of Ryder’s induction.

Aside from Styles, TNA also considered inducting ‘The Alpha Male’ Monty Brown into the Hall of Fame but again this did not occur. Like Styles, the door is not closed for Brown to be inducted at a later date.
