Spoiler On World Heavyweight Title Match Planned For WWE Saturday Night's Main Event

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event looks set to feature two world title matches.

Reports in recent weeks have noted that WWE plan to book the NBC special like a pay-per-view/premium live event. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has now reported that two matches currently slated for SNME are Cody Rhodes vs. Kevin Owens for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and Gunther vs. Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title. Neither match is "etched in stone", however.

Both matches have been teased on WWE programming, with Kevin Owens turning heel on Cody following Bad Blood. Gunther defeated Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Title at SummerSlam and Priest has looked to re-enter the title picture following the end of his feud with Finn Balor.

WWE Saturday Night's Main Event will air from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York on Saturday, December 14. The show will air on NBC in the United States and be simulcast on Peacock.

One WWE legend planned for Saturday Night's Main Event is Jesse Ventura. 'The Body' was an announcer on the original SNME episodes in the 1980s.
