WWE may have introduced equal pay for wrestlers regardless of their gender.

WWE have looked to re-sign a number of talents and Mike Johnson of PWInsider has reported there have been "some whispers and comments" that WWE's female talents are being paid at the same level of the company's male performers. That has not been officially confirmed, though.

The gender pay gap is still an issue in many industries across the world that sees women paid less than men for doing the same job. An analysis from the Institute for Women's Policy Research from 2017 predicted the gender pay gap wouldn't come to an end until 2059.

WWE talents have received pay rises in their new deals since the completion of the WWE-UFC merger under TKO in September 2023. Charlotte Flair signed a new deal with WWE in late 2023 that was believed to be one of the highest-paid contracts in WWE history for a female talent.

Rhea Ripley is also believed to have agreed to terms on a new WWE contract in recent months. The new deal will keep her under contract for five years and is expected to include a substantial pay increase.
