SPOILERS: Challenger For The IMPACT World Title At Slammiversary Revealed

Josh Alexander's next challenger for the IMPACT World Title has been revealed

Following Saturday's Under Siege special, IMPACT Wrestling held their latest set of TV tapings on Sunday, May 8, in Newport, Kentucky.

Several matches took place at the taping, including a Gauntlet For The Gold to determine the next challenger for the IMPACT World Championship.

The match came down to former IMPACT World Champions Eric Young and Chris Sabin and EY picked up the win to earn a world title shot, IMPACT Asylum noted.

Later in the taping, Deaner and Joe Doering of Violent By Design unsuccessfully challenged The Briscoes for the IMPACT World Tag Team Titles in a rematch from Under Siege. Josh Alexander then chased off VBD after the match and had a staredown with Young

While they have been in the same company since 2020, their world title match will be the first time Alexander and Young have faced each other inside the squared circle.

The match will take place at IMPACT's next pay-per-view, Slammiversary on June 19. That show will celebrate the 20-year anniversary of IMPACT's first weekly pay-per-view.
