Spoilers: New Champion Crowned At IMPACT Tapings
A new champion was crowned at the latest IMPACT Wrestling tapings
Oct 24, 2022
A new champion was crowned at this past Saturday's IMPACT Wrestling television taping from Sam's Town in Las Vegas, Nevada.
There was significant storyline advancement at the taping, as the company continues to build to their Over Drive show on Friday, November 18.
In one of the taping's most significant developments, the Digital Media Championship changed hands when Joe Hendry defeated Brian Myers.
Matt Cardona has tried to interfere in the match, only for IMPACT Tag Team Champions Rhyno & Heath to come out and chase him backstage.
Myers had held the title since winning it in a Dot Combat match at Against All Odds on July 1. His loss to Hendry ends his reign at 113 days, though the switch will air at a later date and thus Myers will likely be recognised as having been champion for a longer period of time.
Hendry signed with IMPACT Wrestling last month, with humorous vignettes hyping up his impending arrival over the course of several weeks. He was victorious over Jason Hotch on last week's episode of IMPACT, which marked his first match since signing with the company.
