[SPOILERS] NJPW Strong Taping Results From August 16

New Japan Pro-Wrestling held NJPW Strong tapings in front of fans for the first time on August 16 at Thunder Studios in Long Beach, California. The likes of Jay White, Tomohiro Ishii and Hiroshi Tanahashi were in action on the show.

  • Tomohiro Ishii def. Alex Coughlin
  • Chris Dickinson def. Royce Isaacs
  • Hikuleo def. Juice Robinson - Tables Match. Robinson was said to be in rough shape after the match.
  • Yuji Nagata & Yuya Uemura def. The DKC & Kevin Knight
  • Hiroshi Tanahashi, Karl Fredericks & Clark Connors def. Bateman, Barrett Brown & Misterioso
  • Karl Fredericks called out Will Ospreay. The Commonwealth Kingpin got in Fredericks' face and decked him with a Hidden Blade. Ospreay then accepted Fredericks' challenge for NJPW Strong tapings in Dallas. 
  • JR Kratos def. Fred Yehi
  • Ren Narita def. Fred Rosser
  • Jay White def. Wheeler Yuta
  • Jay White said everyone wanted to see him and Tomohiro Ishii face-off, which resulted in The Stone Pitbull heading to the ring. Both men ended up brawling and White ended the segment standing tall following a Low Blow and Blade Runner. 
  • Tom Lawlor def. Lio Rush - Strong Openweight Championship
  • Lawlor asked for his next challenger after the match and Ren Narita answered. Lawlor told Ren he had to train more before he could face him for the title, which prompted Narita to deck the champion.
