[SPOILERS] Wrestler Returns & Team Splits Up At July 27 WWE NXT Taping

A lot went down at the recent NXT tapings

WWE taped the next two episodes of NXT on Wednesday evening at the Capitol Wrestling Center, with the 27 July and August 3 editions of the black-and-gold brand being pre-recorded and shown on Syfy due to the Olympic Games.

During the July 27 taping, which will air next Tuesday, a wrestler with a long-term injury returned to NXT while a Champion was betrayed by their tag-team partner.

Per F4WOnline, following a tag-team match putting Pete Dunne & Oney Lorcan against Timothy Thatcher and Tommaso Ciampa, Ridge Holland made his return to NXT and aligned with Dunne and Lorcan. The trio would beat down Thatcher and Ciampa.

Holland would then defeat Ikeman Jiro in his first match back, in a bout that was taped for the August 3 episode of NXT.

Elsewhere on the show, NXT Women's Champion Raquel Gonzalez and Dakota Kai took to the ring. Having successfully defended her Title against Xia Li on this past week's NXT, Gonzalez talked up her accomplishments.

Kai would then say that, as long as she has Gonzalez's back, no one is taking the Championship from her. Kai would then lay her long-time friend out with a kick as she turned away, before lifting the NXT Women's Title above her own head.
