Stephanie McMahon Backstage At WWE Survivor Series

A surprising name is backstage at WWE Survivor Series.

According to Fightful Select, Stephanie McMahon is at the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois. This is not a return for Stephanie, however, and she is simply there visiting and hanging out backstage. 

McMahon hasn't been backstage much at WWE events in 2023 outside of WrestleMania 39 weekend. 

Stephanie was previously WWE Chairwoman and Co-CEO but she resigned on January 10, 2023 in the aftermath of Vince McMahon forcing his way back into the organisation as Vince's election as Executive Chairman would have seen Stephanie demoted. 

Stephanie previously took a leave of absence from WWE in May 2022, only to come back weeks later following Vince McMahon stepping down as CEO and Chairman while an internal investigation was carried out into sexual misconduct allegations against Vince. Stephanie then became Chairwoman and Co-CEO on a full-time basis after Vince McMahon "retired" in July 2022.

After Stephanie stepped away from WWE in January 2023 it was noted that she didn't really need the money and she had already decided to take a leave of absence in 2022. Nick Khan stated earlier this year the door was open if Stephanie ever wanted to come back to the company.
