Steve Maclin Injured During IMPACT Down Under Tour

Steve Maclin has picked up an injury

One of IMPACT Wrestling's top stars is out of action.

Steve Maclin challenged Alex Shelley for the IMPACT World Championship in the main event of night one of IMPACT's Down Under tour on Friday, June 30 as he looked to regain the belt he lost to Shelley at Against All Odds earlier in the month.

Shelley would win the match and IMPACT announced following the contest that Maclin had suffered an injury and was being pulled from his scheduled match against Frankie Kazarian at IMPACT Down Under night two on July 1.

PWInsider has reported that Maclin's injury is legitimate and his status moving forward will be determined once he is evaluated upon returning to the United States. Frankie Kazarian instead went one-on-one with Brian Myers, picking up the win in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales.

Steve Maclin has been under contract with IMPACT Wrestling since the summer of 2021. He was IMPACT World Champion for 54 days after winning the vacant title at Rebellion on April 16 until he dropped the belt to Shelley.
