Sting & Darby Allin Win AEW World Tag Team Titles On Dynamite

Sting & Darby Allin are AEW World Tag Team Champions!

For the first time in 13 years, Sting is a champion in professional wrestling once again.

Sting and Darby Allin defeated Big Bill and Ricky Starks for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on the February 7 edition of AEW Dynamite, continuing their undefeated streak as a tag team in the process. The finish saw Darby Allin put Big Bill through a table while Starks managed to free himself from a Scorpion Deathlock, only to be taken out with a Scorpion Death Drop moments later as The Icon made the cover for the win.

Sting celebrated with his sons and Darby Allin as confetti filled the Footprint Center in Phoenix, Arizona but they weren't celebrating for long as The Young Bucks attacked them from behind with baseball bats. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson left Sting and Darby Allin bloodied and Sting's sons lying before they held up the AEW World Tag Team Title belts as Dynamite went off the air.

The Young Bucks have been looking to face Sting in his retirement match at AEW Revolution since they returned in the new year. Sting reportedly personally chose the Jackson brothers as his opponents for his final bow, partly due to how much fun he had at Forbidden Door 2022 when they were on opposite sides.

The title change also ended Big Bill and Ricky Starks' title reign at 123 days. They captured the belts from FTR back on the October 7 edition of Collision and successfully defended the titles on three occasions.
