Stokely Hathaway Reveals Original AEW Plans
Stokely Hathaway had opened up on his original plans in AEW with Jade Cargill & The Firm
Stokely Hathaway has been in AEW for nearly a full year now, and whilst he is currently leading up The Firm as their manager and mouthpiece, he originally started off by managing the TBS Champion Jade Cargill and The Baddies faction.
When speaking on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, Hathaway revealed what his original plans were in AEW.
“It's interesting, because a lot of people thought that Jade and I was this long term plan. The idea, and I take a lot of responsibility for it, it wasn't really conveyed the fact that when I was with Jade, the idea was I was a con artist, like I was a scammer. I was using everyone to get to this position in The Firm. Obviously after All Out, plans changed. The Jade storyline was actually the beginning of the next chapter.”
Hathaway is referencing the fact that The Firm were reportedly set to play a big role in the CM Punk vs. MJF AEW World Championship feud following All Out 2022, but after Punk picked up an injury and also sparked the ‘Brawl Out’ incident, things for the group had to be changed up.
