Swerve Strickland Hopes AEW Sign Sami Callihan

Swerve Strickland would like to see Sami Callihan in AEW

Sami Callihan recently announced he was joining the free agents list after the conclusion of his IMPACT Wrestling deal, with the ‘Death Machine’ surely not short of suitors vying for his services.

Callihan has friends in All Elite Wrestling amongst other promotions, with both Jon Moxley and Swerve Strickland having worked extensively with Callihan in the past. During an interview with Grapsody, Strickland was asked if he could see Callihan make his way to AEW, with the Mogul Embassy leader saying the following:

"Of course, I want to go after that guy. That's my mentor, man. I faced a lot of my mentors in the past in my career. Rey Mysterio was a big mentor to me back in Lucha Underground. Sami Callihan, when I had a really hot run on the indies and stuff. Sami was a big part of that. He's a free agent out there, I hope to see him in AEW or wherever you want to go. I just want him to prosper in this business for a long time. He deserves that, brilliant mind," Swerve said.

Callihan is the operator of indie promotion The Wrestling REVOLVER, with many AEW names having worked the territory in 2023.
