We are days away from AEW WrestleDream, and it seems we are also days away from the return of Swerve Strickland.

The former AEW World Champion has not been seen since suffering a brutal loss to Hangman Page in their violent Lights Out Steel Cage Match at All Out on September 7, and a vignette that aired on Dynamite on October 8 stated that Strickland will be appearing at WrestleDream on October 12.

Despite not being on AEW TV in recent weeks, Strickland’s presence has still been felt, with Prince Nana praising his client whilst recent AEW signings MVP and Shelton Benjamin have seemingly courted Strickland for ‘business’ matters.

Whilst it has not been announced what Strickland will be doing at WrestleDream, it is likely that MVP, Benjamin, and maybe even Bobby Lashley could be involved.

Elsewhere on Dynamite, two new matches were confirmed for the PPV event in Washington. In the AEW Women’s World Championship scene, champion Mariah may will put the gold on the line against Willow Nightingale after Willow defeated Saraya to earn a shot at ‘The Glamour’. May planted a headbutt into Nightingale’s face after her win, only to eat a big pounce later on in the show during a backstage interview.

Jay White had his first AEW match in several months on October 8, and after picking up the win against Cody Chhun, White called out Hangman Page and challenged him to a match at WrestleDream. White returned to AEW on October 1 and brawled with Page.
