Tag Team Breaks Up On WWE SmackDown?

A tag team has parted ways on SmackDown

It looks as though a popular duo is on its last legs and may perhaps have officially broken up as of last night’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown. In something which has been teased for the last few weeks, the cracks in the Brawling Brutes have become craters.

During a tag team match with Pretty Deadly last night, Butch would escape to his corner and search for a tag to his ally Ridge Holland, only to find that he wasn’t there. Holland, looking conflicted, decided to walk away from a confused Butch, seemingly ending their alliance for good.

Butch was then taken out by Elton Prince and Kit Wilson, who won the match in quick fashion given the 2-on-1 advantage they were handed. Butch and Holland have been aligned in the Brawling Brutes group alongside Sheamus since Spring 2022, but following Sheamus’ absence from WWE programming, the two remaining members have progressively had more troubles coexisting, and last night it all finally came to a head for the two Englishmen.
