Tag Team Match Set For SmackDown Next Week
There will be a tag team match on next week's WWE SmackDown
WWE has already begun the build to the post-Payback edition of Friday Night SmackDown next week, as they have announced that a tag team match will be taking place.
Charlotte Flair will be teaming up with Shotzi to take on the Damage CTRL duo of Bayley and the WWE Women’s Champion IYO SKY, building off the bad blood between the four women that has been building over the last few months, and was accelerated during last night’s episode.
Shotzi picked up a big singles win over Bayley last night, gaining revenge after Bayley & SKY chopped off some of her hair in a backstage ambush at the London edition of SmackDown a couple months back. During the match, Damage CTRL members SKY and Dakota Kai tried to interfere, but Charlotte Flair came down to even the odds.
Flair herself has had issues with Damage CTRL recently, stemming from when IYO SKY inserted herself into the WWE Women’s World Title picture with a Money in the Bank cash-in at SummerSlam. Flair is looking to win the gold, and will be hoping to pick up a big win next week.
