Tag Team Match Set For SmackDown Next Week

The card for next week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown is beginning to take shape, with the go-home event for Payback set to feature some last minute build.

Four men who have been caught up with one another over the last few weeks will face off in tag team action, as the Latino World Order’s Santos Escobar and brand new United States Champion Rey Mysterio will face off with former champion Austin Theory and Grayson Waller.

A few weeks back, Santos Escobar won a tournament to get a shot at the United States Championship, but a pre-match ambush from Austin Theory led to Mysterio stepping in and getting the shot instead. He won the gold, but the following week some seeds were planted at tension in the LWO, as Grayson Waller poked at the pair, stating how Mysterio took Escobar’s spot, not willing to give up his spotlight for those younger than him.

Ahead of Mysterio and Theory having a rematch at the upcoming Payback for the US Title, these four will meet on SmackDown. Also on next week’s show will be the return of Jimmy Uso.
