Tag Team Title Matches Set For December 20 WWE NXT
Two title matches on next week's show
Both sets of NXT tag team titles are set to be defended on next week's show.
New NXT Tag Team Champions New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) will defend their titles against Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen. Former champions Pretty Deadly interrupted New Day on last night's show, noting that they had the right to a rematch.
New Day said they could have their rematch if they were able to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. They were unable to do so, but Brooks and Jensen did, leading to New Day granting them a title shot next week.
Meanwhile, Kayden Carter & Katana Chance will put their titles on the line against Toxic Attraction (Gigi Dolin & Jacy Jayne) and Tatum Paxley & Ivy Nile.
A match between the latter two teams on last night's show ended when the three teams began brawling. They fought again later on in the show and had to be separated by officials.
Also scheduled for next week is a match between Nikkita Lyons and Zoey Stark, as well as a bout between Elektra Lopez and Indi Hartwell. Additionally, Apollo Crews will return following his unsuccessful challenge of the NXT Championship at Deadline.
