Top Tag Team Turns Heel On AEW: Dynamite

It's been brewing for a little while

During the AEW Brodie Lee Celebration Of Life show on December 30, Matt Hardy offered Marq Quen a chair to use on Nick Jackson while the referee was distracted. The Private Party member refused to use it, though, and the team of The Young Bucks and Colt Cabana picked up the win a couple of minutes later.

Big Money Matt has continued to encourage the young tag team to use more heelish tactics and they accepted his words of wisdom during their match against Top Flight and Matt Sydal on last night's edition of Dynamite.

In the later stages of the contest, Dante Martin and Marq Quen were grappling on the top turnbuckle when Hardy suddenly distracted the official. Isiah Kassidy then appeared from out of nowhere and drilled Martin in the ribs with a steel chair, causing him to tumble to the mat. Marq Quen was initially surprised but his shocked expression quickly turned into a wide grin and he put Martin away with a Shooting Star Press.

Sydal and Darius Martin confronted Private Party after the bell, but Quen and Kassidy beat down their opponents moments later following a nod from Matt Hardy.

With that, Private Party cemented their heel turn on AEW: Dynamite.
