Taya Valkyrie 'Open' To Working In AEW

Valkyrie has her eyes set on the Owen Cup

Former WWE and IMPACT Wrestling star Taya Valkyrie (fka Frankey Monet) has revealed she would be open to wrestling in AEW.

After a quick spell in WWE NXT, Valkyrie was released in November 2021, and during a virtual signing session with East Coast Autograph Auctions, spoke on the possibility of working for AEW:

“Of course I would go to AEW,” started Taya. “I mean, they are doing something different, a lot of my peers and my best friends, my brothers [Rey] Fenix and Pentagon are over there so why not? So we’ll see what happens.”

AEW have previously announced that May 2022 will see the inaugural men’s and women’s Owen Hart Cup Tournaments take place, and Valkyrie wants to represent Canada in the competition:

“I mean, as a Canadian, I think that I should definitely be in the Owen tournament. I was trying to think what Canadian girls were a part of AEW and I’m gonna say Allie [The Bunny] is probably the only one, so I think that there needs to be a little bit of Canadian in that scenario so I would absolutely love to.”
