The Acclaimed have been dropped from All Elite Wrestling's rankings following Max Caster's controversial rap on last week's edition of Dark.

The team of Anthony Bowens and Max Caster teamed with Matt Hardy and The Blade against The Sydal Brothers and Varsity Blonds at a July 28 Dark taping. During his usual pre-match rap, though, Caster referred to Simone Biles' mental health, fake COVID-19 tests and rape accusations against the Duke University men's lacrosse team. The rap remained in the final broadcast when Dark aired on August 3 but was promptly removed following backlash on social media.

AEW President Tony Khan would then describe Caster's rap as "terrible" and The Acclaimed's scheduled match on this week's Dark was announced and then promptly cancelled. Max Caster has also removed all references to AEW from his Twitter profile and his appearances with the promotion have reportedly been put "on ice."

Now, The Acclaimed have been removed from the All Elite Wrestling tag team rankings, despite holding a 14-3 record. Anthony Bowens and Max Caster were the number two ranked team on August 4, ahead of FTR, Jurassic Express and Private Party, but they have dropped out of the top five and been replaced by The Lucha Brothers.

Penta El Zero Miedo and Rey Fenix have spent much of their 2021 teaming with others, but they reunited recently and have accumulated a 6-0 record so far this year.
