Odyssey Jones Advances To WWE NXT Breakout Tournament Final

Jones will face either Duke Hudson or Carmelo Hayes

Odyssey Jones punched his ticket to the NXT Breakout Tournament Final on the August 10 edition of NXT.

The former college football player went one on one with Trey Baxter in the first semi-final and Jones picked up the win in less than three minutes with a Modified Boss Man Slam.

Shawn Michaels reacted to Jones' win following the match, tweeting: ".@TreyBaxterWWE showed determination and ingenuity in this #NXTBreakout tournament, but @oshow94 used his size to punch his ticket to the finals!!!"

Jones will face the winner of Carmelo Hayes vs. Duke Hudson in the final. The second semi-final matchup will take place next week on 'Title Tuesday.'

The company appears to have big plans for Jones as outside of his big wins in the Breakout Tournament, he has competed on the main roster in dark matches in recent months along with the likes of Dakota Kai and Indi Hartwell. Jones made his main roster TV debut earlier this week at the company's Main Event tapings with a win over Austin Theory.
