The Acclaimed Win AEW World Tag Team Titles At Grand Slam

The Acclaimed have arrived!

The Acclaimed are the new AEW World Tag Team champions, after defeating Swerve in Our Glory at AEW Dynamite Grand Slam on Wednesday night in New York City.

Late in the match, Swerve Strickland attempted to get his team disqualified by trying to goad Billy Gunn into hitting him. Keith Lee pulled his partner away, but as referee Rick Knox tried walking Lee back to his corner, Anthony Bowens suddenly struck Strickland with a forearm, before Gunn hit Strickland on the floor with the Fame Asser.

Gunn then threw Strickland back into the ring, where Bowens hit Strickland with The Arrival, and Max Caster came off the top with the Mic Drop for the win.

The win gives Caster and Bowens their first titles in AEW. The two fell short against Lee and Strickland at All Out on September 4.

Lee and Strickland's reign as champions ends at 70 days. The two won a three-way match on July 13 over champions The Young Bucks and fellow challengers Ricky Starks and Powerhouse Hobbs at Fyter Fest in Savannah, GA.
