Bobby Lashley, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin celebrate a victory whilst holding championship belts in an AEW ring.

We have new All Elite Wrestling World Tag Team Champions, with The Hurt Syndicate team of Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin defeating Private Party for the gold on the January 22 episode of Dynamite.

Despite Private Party’s best efforts, Lashley and Benjamin were just too much to handle, with Lashley getting the win with a spear on Zay to bring the belts to The Hurt Syndicate, the faction claiming gold after a little under three months in the company. MVP joined his colleagues post-match to celebrate, with the win getting a good reaction from the Knoxville, Tennessee crowd.

The win marks the first AEW championship win for both men, with Benjamin becoming the third man - after FTR’s Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler - to hold tag team championship gold in WWE, ROH, and AEW. For Lashley, this is the first tag title win of his career.

Private Party’s first run as champs ended at the 84-day mark, having defeated The Young Bucks for the straps in October 2024. It remains to be seen if Zay and Quen will get their rematch against The Hurt Syndicate.
