The New Day Returns On WWE Raw

Most of The New Day are back on WWE Raw!

The New Day are back on WWE TV, with Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods making their returns to Monday Night Raw on August 7.

The popular tag team faced The Viking Raiders on Raw, picking up the win after Woods decked Ivar with a Limit Break. The New Day had been off TV since Kofi Kingston suffered an ankle injury on the March 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown following a Drew McIntyre dive over the top rope to the floor. Kingston required surgery following the injury.

Woods initially remained on TV following Kofi's injury, challenging GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship in April, but the UpUpDownDown host hadn't been seen since May 15 when he lost to Dominik Mysterio.

Woods and Kingston remain without Big E, though. The former WWE Champion has been out of action since he sustained a broken neck in March 2022 and it was revealed over the weekend that Big E had been advised not to wrestle again. A commentary role has been discussed for Big E, should he be unable to return to the ring.
