Report: Roman Reigns Suffers Injury At WWE SummerSlam

Roman Reigns is reportedly hurt following WWE SummerSlam

WWE's top star may be set for a stint out of action.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, Roman Reigns was "hurt" during his Tribal Combat Match with Jey Uso in the main event of SummerSlam. When exactly Reigns suffered the injury and the nature of the issue is unknown beyond that the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion was hurt early in the match.

"He's gonna be back Friday. Roman Reigns got hurt in that match...I haven't watched the beginning of the match over again but I heard it was relatively early...I don't know the nature of the injury, I just heard he worked the match hurt. He got hurt early in the match. I don't know what his schedule is but he's going to be on the show Friday night. I would presume he's going to be on Survivor Series, I don't know that as fact," Meltzer said.

Roman Reigns is set to appear on Friday Night SmackDown in a "Hail to the Chief" segment with Jimmy Uso. This comes after Jimmy Uso turned on Jey Uso at SummerSlam, handing Reigns the victory.
