A HUGE match has been made official for WWE WrestleMania 40
Although it has been teased for some time and the challenge for the match was laid out last week on SmackDown by The Rock, a huge match has now been officially announced and confirmed for WWE WrestleMania 40, which will see The Rock return to the ring for the first time for a proper match since 2013 (no, we are not counting his match against Erick Rowan, ever.)
On Friday Night SmackDown last night, Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his new Bloodline ally The Rock faced off with World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins and 2024 Royal Rumble winner Cody Rhodes, engaging in a war of words after tensions have continued to escalate as the weeks have gone by.
Amidst a tirade from The Rock, Seth Rollins interrupted and accepted the tag team challenge for WrestleMania 40 which will see the two sides go head to head on Night One of WrestleMania. If Rock & Reigns win, the title match between Reigns and Rhodes on Night Two will be “Bloodline Rules” and anything goes, whereas if Rhodes & Rollins win, all members of The Bloodline will be banned from ringside.
On Night Two, Rollins will be in action for a second time in two nights, much like Reigns & Rhodes, though he will be defending his title against Drew McIntyre.
