The Rock Returns On WWE Raw Netflix Premiere
The Rock made a brief stop at WWE Raw's Netflix premiere
Jan 7, 2025
The Rock made his return to WWE on the Netflix premiere of Monday Night Raw and it certainly didn't seem like Dwayne Johnson would be wrestling at WrestleMania.
After Triple H opened the show, The Rock made his way to the ring with the People's Championship. Dwayne Johnson cut his trademark "Finally" line before putting over Cody Rhodes, saying the Undisputed WWE Champion had carried the company over the past year. Cody was then shown at ringside and the WrestleMania 40 opponents had a good chuckle, with Rock joking that Cody needs to say hello to Mama Rhodes for him.
The Rock then put over his tribal chief Roman Reigns and said he would be watching the Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa very closely.
After he cut more of his signature catchphrases, The Rock embraced Cody Rhodes at ringside to end the segment.
Following the Tribal Combat Match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa that ended with a win for Reigns, The Rock placed the ula fala over Roman's head and the members of the Anoa'i family embraced.
The original plans for WrestleMania 41 would have seen The Rock take on Cody Rhodes at the Showcase of the Immortals. It was reported in October 2024, however, that The Rock had informed WWE he wouldn't be wrestling at WrestleMania 41 and that certainly appeared to be the case on the Raw Netflix premiere as Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes appeared to blow off their issues with a hug.
