With WrestleMania 40 less than a month away, WWE is adding new matches to the card, which is spread across new nights on April 6 and April 7 from the Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. On Friday Night SmackDown last night, three new matches were revealed for the show.
After making enemies out of two of WWE’s top stars, Logan Paul will be defending his United States Championship in a triple threat match against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Paul escaped a title defence against Owens at the Royal Rumble via a disqualification, and at the Elimination Chamber Paul used brass knuckles to cost Orton a world title match. Both men have continued setting their sights on Paul, and will both be getting a US Title shot.
Elsewhere, the challenge laid out by Jey Uso on Monday Night RAW, calling out his brother Jimmy Uso at WrestleMania, was answered last night. Jimmy cut a promo backstage on SmackDown, accepting the challenge of his twin brother.
Finally, after months of intensity and hatred between the two constantly building up, a match between AJ Styles and LA Knight will take place at WrestleMania 40. Styles added fuel to the fire at Elimination Chamber, attacking Knight to cost him a shot at the World Heavyweight Championship. Knight has been on a warpath ever since, resulting in him challenging Styles at WrestleMania. Another attack from behind was followed up with Styles accepting.
The updated card for WrestleMania 40 is as follows:
