Thunder Rosa, Mickie James Appear At Impact Slammiversary

The Forbidden Door remains propped open

NWA and AEW star Thunder Rosa, and recent NWA acquisition Mickie James, made appearances at Impact Slammiversary on Saturday night in Nashville, both making appearances in conjunction with the Knockouts title match.

Rosa appeared as the mystery challenger for Deonna Purrazzo's Knockouts title. The two had a solid back and forth encounter, before Purrazzo retained after pinning Rosa following the Queen's Gambit.

After the match, Purrazzo went to cut a promo, but was interrupted by the return of James. Purrazzo expressed annoyance with James' interruption, but James came with a proposition - she invited Purrazzo to be a part of NWA's EmPowerrr, the all-women's pay-per-view taking place on August 28 in St. Louis.

Purrazzo went on to express further disgust at James not letting her have her moment, before telling James to "take her trash bag and get the hell out of here." James responded by hitting Purrazzo with the Mick Kick.

James herself is a former Impact Knockouts champion, holding the belt on three occasions between 2011 and 2013. She's serving as executive producer of the NWA EmPowerrr card.
