Tiffany Stratton To Defend WWE Women's Title Next Week

Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money In The Bank contract on the January 3 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, defeating former friend and ally Nia Jax to win the gold. In the month since, Stratton has had one successful title defence, outlasting Bayley on the January 17 episode of SmackDown. Her next title defence has now been made official. 

If Tiffany Stratton hopes to make it to WrestleMania 41 as the WWE Women’s Champion, she will have to defeat the former champion Nia Jax, this time without help from Bianca Belair and the Money In The Bank briefcase. 

On last night’s SmackDown, WWE Women’s Champion Stratton came face to face with the 2025 Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair, who asked the champion to get on her knees and beg for her to choose her at WrestleMania 41, continuing to go down a darker path as reports emerged of WWE changing plans and making Flair a heel heading into WrestleMania season. 

Nia Jax emerged to interrupt the segment, revealing that SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had made the match official for next week’s SmackDown, which takes place on Valentine’s Day. Stratton has been involved in another feud alongside this outside of the ring, going back and forth with Mandy Rose in interviews.
