Title Changes Hands On WWE SmackDown (SPOILERS)

What happened?

WWE's SmackDown tapings in Manchester have already proven to be noteworthy, as they've not only had a title change take place, but said title change likely alters the card for Survivor Series.

Kofi Kingston and Big E of The New Day have defeated The Revival to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles. The win gives New Day their seventh Tag Team title reign as a collective, and Kingston's tenth overall Tag Team title under the WWE banner.

Kingston will also extend his all-time record for most combined days holding some form of WWE Tag Team belt, which sits at 1,068 days as of this writing.

As far as Survivor Series goes, since the triple threat tag team match is a champions' showcase, one has to assume that The New Day will slot in to The Revival's spot. They would take on Raw Tag Team champions The Viking Raiders, and NXT Tag Team champions Bobby Fish and Kyle O'Reilly, in Chicago at the pay-per-view.

New Day partner Xavier Woods is expected to be out of action until at least the summer of 2020, due to a torn Achilles.
