Title Matches Added To WWE NXT Battleground

Two more title matches have been announced for the upcoming NXT Battleground premium live event on Sunday, May 28. 

It was confirmed on the May 16 edition of NXT that Wes Lee will defend the North American Championship in a Triple Threat against Joe Gacy and Tyler Bate at Battleground. The match came about after Gacy and Ava attacked Wes Lee and Tyler Bate backstage. The NXT North American Champion later confronted the Schism members and they accused Bate of trying to deceive Lee before Gacy said he wanted a title match. Bate came to the ring and denied that was the case before promptly saying he also wanted a shot at the North American Championship. 

The NXT Heritage Cup will also be on the line against Dragon Lee at Battleground. The champion will be determined next week when Noam Dar puts the cup on the line against Nathan Frazer. 

The Creed Brothers also challenged Gallus to a match for the NXT Tag Team Titles, but that contest has yet to be made official. 

Already official for Battleground is Carmelo Hayes vs. Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship, and the final of the NXT Women's Title tournament.
