Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez Advance In WWE NXT Women's Title Tournament

The semi-finals of the WWE NXT Women's Title tournament were made official on May 16 following the final first-round matches on the latest show from the developmental brand. 

Cora Jade faced Fallon Henley in the opening contest on NXT and Jade was ultimately able to pick up the win following a Double-Arm DDT. Roxanne Perez went one-on-one with Jacy Jayne later in the show and the former NXT Women's Champion scored the victory after connecting with Pop Rox. Jacy Jayne then found herself floored again as she was attacked by Gigi Dolin after the match to continue their programme. 

Next week's semi-finals will be Cora Jade vs. Lyra Valkyria and Tiffany Stratton vs. Roxanne Perez. The winners will advance to the final, which is scheduled for the NXT Battleground premium live event on Sunday, May 28.

A new NXT Women's Champion had to be crowned after Indi Hartwell vacated the belt following the WWE Draft. She was moved to Monday Night Raw during the latest roster shake-up.
