Titus O'Neil Opens Raw, Says WWE Is A Safe Haven

Titus O'Neil claims WWE won't address divisive issues

Titus O'Neil has hardly appeared on any WWE programming since he was the co-host of WrestleMania 37 with Hulk Hogan, but the former tag team champion returned on last night's episode of Monday Night Raw from his hometown of Tampa, Florida.

O'Neil opened the show and spoke about his role as a WWE Global Ambassador before he suddenly claimed the company spreads goodness and goodwill, which is why "you'll never hear us talk about politics or religion or any other subject matter that's divisive. Because regardless of your race, your economic status, or your nationality, this is a place that we deserve to have a safe heaven. This is a place that WWE wants to simply make sure that we all have a good time."

The former Prime Time Player's declaration caused loud cheers inside the arena and he welcomed fans to Monday Night Raw to bring the segment to an end.

Why exactly WWE decided to open Raw with the segment is unknown but O'Neil's return comes at a tumultuous time for the company, with Vince McMahon having temporarily stepped down as CEO and Chairman while a Special Committee of the WWE Board investigates a $3 million hush payment he made to a former employee.
