Some fans were reportedly stopped from showing their appreciation for Scott D'Amore at the Sacrifice TNA+ special on Friday, March 8.

Sacrifice was held in Scott D'Amore's hometown of Windsor, Ontario, Canada at St. Clair College and Dave Meltzer reported in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that fans had pro-Scott D'Amore signs confiscated by TNA at the door when they looked to make their way into the building for Sacrifice.

Scott D'Amore was the President of TNA Wrestling until he was fired by Anthem Head Len Asper in early February. D'Amore's firing came about over differing ideas on how the promotion should move forward, with D'Amore looking to expand following the return to the 'TNA' name after years as IMPACT Wrestling, while Anthem were reluctant to fund further expansion for TNA in 2024.

Ahead of his official departure date from the promotion, D'Amore offered to buy TNA from Anthem for $10 million but the company rejected the offer. TNA talents were initially furious with D'Amore's firing but the promotion has settled down since then. Many on the roster were still hoping D'Amore would be brought back in some capacity, however.

Meltzer also noted that ticket sales appear to have been poor for Sacrifice. There were around 650 fans in the building for the show with 600 paid but this was down from last year's show and drew fewer fans than the Border City Wrestling 30th Anniversary event in Windsor in October 2023 which had 1,000 paid at the larger Sportsplex.

TNA will return to pay-per-view on April 20 with Rebellion. The main event will see Moose defend the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth.
